Three-day Tour Itinerary of Hukou Waterfall, Wave Valley and Canyon on the Northern Route

Day 1: Visit Hukou Waterfall and Stay in Yan'an at Night

Day 2: Explore the Wave Valley

• 8:00: After having breakfast, start from Yan'an and head for the Wave Valley in Jingbian County. The driving time is about one and a half hours.

• 9:30 - 12:30: Visit the Wave Valley. The unique Danxia landform here features beautiful red sandstone textures, which are like the fingerprints of the earth. Take photos as souvenirs and explore the magical geological landscape.

• 13:00: Have lunch in Jingbian County.

• 18:00: Return to the urban area of Yan'an and you can have free activities. After the meal, take a stroll along the Yan River and enjoy the night view of Yan'an.

Day 3: Explore Yucha Grand Canyon and Return to Xi'an

• 8:30: After breakfast, head for Yucha Grand Canyon. The driving time is about one and a half hours.

• 10:30: Tour Yucha Grand Canyon. Admire the unique light - and - shadow changes and peculiar rock formations in the canyon, as if you've entered a dream world.

• 14:00: Have lunch near the scenic area and take a short rest.
