Chang Hen Ge
"Song of Everlasting Sorrow" is a live-action historical dance drama in the Huaqing Pool Scenic Area of Xi'an.
Based on the long poem of the same name by Bai Juyi, it presents the heartrending love story between Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and Yang Guifei. The whole performance is held in the real landscape. The stage uses the natural scenery of Lishan Mountain as the background, combined with special effects such as lighting and sound effects to create a magnificent and romantic atmosphere.
There are numerous magnificent dance scenes in the drama. The actors are dressed in exquisite Tang Dynasty costumes and dance gracefully. For example, the scene of An Lushan's rebellion is quite shocking, and the pas de deux between Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei is very affectionate. The performance lasts about 70 minutes.
